QUESTION: FP results sent by FBI

I checked the status of FPs for me and my wife.
at the following number
FBI FP#: 1-304-625-5590 (option 4).

They told that they have sent the FP to INS electronically on
the same day (Oct. 30). (Had done early FP at SFO on Oct 30).

DOES THIS MEAN they sent the RESULTS of the FP back to INS ?

  which could be
1)Everything is alright
2)FP not classifiable(need to re-do)
3) The person has criminal record.

I phoned for FP results (FP done 10/30 @ SFO) today as well and was told similarly. I went ahead and asked if everything was fine w/ the fp\'s and she said yes. So, I think, she means 1).

I too did early FP on 10/30 at SFO ASC and I also heard from FBI that they sent the results immediately, the very same day back to INS and the lady told me that the FPs were good ( for me & my wife ). We should probably keep ourselves posted along with the group on what\'s happening next. Best of luck to one and all.

 what exactly did you ask them?
 i did not aks them any such question and am planning to do so tomorrow.
 i heard that they normally won\'t tell whether FPs are good or BAD.
 I am also wondering how is it so quick. i think they jus comapre it electronically with their database
 for criminal record if the FPs are good or tell INS that the FPs were not good and then INS reschedules it.

I also did my FP early at SF on Oct. 30. I called FBI the next day but I was told it was too early to call.

FP Qualiity check

I was also thinking FBI won\'t disclose the quality of FP and such. But a few of the people in our board were successful in getting that info. Over and above since this was just an added assurance, I asked the lady for the FP quality also, she checked for a moment and told me that both mine and my wife\'s came good. But several others in our board got standard replies from FBI to check it with the INS. So, give it a shot, you may be succesful. Good Luck. ( But I personally believe all our FPs should have come well as SFO ASC had such nice machines ).

FP SFO ASC OCT 31st

I did my FP at SFO ASC as scheduled on Oct 31st. I called FBI and they said that my FP info was sent to INS on NOv 1st but she gave the standard response to my question related to quality.
 
EAD approved per AVM

I checked AVM yesterday for any update on FP status ..same ol\' message, no change. But my EAD was approved yesterday per AVM and it says "new card ordered.." my details are on the May 2001 Mailers Summary list maintained by PCee.

i tried one more time.. but they said you have to check with INS about the quality of FP.
 Has anyone checked with INS about that?
 Does INS tell you about that?

FBI does not disclose quality of FP

you can call INS and they will let you know.

Don\'t worry too much about it. Even if the quality is not
good there is nothing you can do but wait for another FP
notice.

Check CIBA\'s site. it has got some FP experiences in dealing
with FBI.
