Question For Want !!!

Want, I got approved on Feb 09 received my approval letter on 14th Feb but yet no welcome notice nor plastic. Is it OK ? Or I need to be worried. What should I do at this point? I'm getting pissed off now. Waited more than five long years from 485 apply to receive approval how long IO needs time to keep me waiting from that plastic???????? This IO's are undoubtly heartless or else why they take so long for an approved applicant to issue their GC. This simply makes no sense. I had my code 1 on October 2005 so that's not expired, had my code 2 on July so they have all for the GC production stuffs, medical completed on March 2005. Now what ???????????????? Nasrmobin got the same thing going on with him. What's going on bro?? Need your help to clarify this issue. I noticed most received their plastic 7/8 days after their approval mail but in my case it's 14 days already passed but still nothing ??????? Can I get my passport stamped at this point since I already received my approval letter or what are the options I have at this point on since I'm a PR now? Please share your valuable knowledge.

Hey Atique,
Since I have the appointment on this coming Monday, If you have any questions let me know and I will ask that IO. I got to be a fun day in CIS local office, I just love to go there to have some fun.7:30 am stay in cold and then they let you go in and check the color of your short, and make sure you are pure skin and sit over there for two hours till the call your name, and every question you ask they give you some non-related answers. I can not wait anymore bro, my heart is pumping out of my chest.

So Please let me know for any questions, even if I get my GC tomorrow which is not going to happen, I still want to see the IO because I really missed them. If they knew that, they have a lot of fans siting outside and in the FORUM and write about them, they would send our PLASTICS earlier.

So I am waiting for your questions.

Since WANT is quiet and I dont have anything else to do, and you made this THread just for WANT to answer your question and I feel free to add stuff to it I say,

Nasr, Please feel free to put your comment in this thread. Reason I brought this up for Want cause as a knowledgable moderator Want can help asnswer some of my confusions. You & I are both in the same boat so I thought better ask someone else & first person clicked on my mind was Want. Guess Want is busy or may be out of town or over looked the thread. Otherwise he would have said something. Well, I'm still waiting to hear from him.

Could you please ask those IO's that if they are actual human beings & them people got the same blood,same heart,happiness, joy,sorrow all these just like us?????? How would they feel if other's treat them the way they treat us??? From asylum application till 485 approval mail it took 13 long years. How much more pain they could make me suffer that would make them happy!!! Isn't this enough for them !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry brother just got little upset. No you don't have to ask them anything this nature not even for yourself. Who knows how long their hands are extended. Be very calm, polite & gentle although it's really hard after all this time but we sure have no choice. I'm praying to allmighty God that all our problems would get solved quickly. No doubt them IO's are powerful but there is another one who is a whole lot more then any one & that's GOD. There are people who could be such heartless but GOD is kind & merciful. He must do the right judgement for all of us.

I can only speak for myself and my wife. She received the plastic 22 days after the approval, I received it 13 days after my approval. The welcome notice says something like 6 weeks. You are still well within that limit.

All I can suggest is, chill out, and have fun . The paper itself is as good as the card. You can go get a I-94 and stamp if that will make you happier, but now that you have been approved, its yours FOREVER (well, unless you do something really stupid, that is)

If you dont follow your religion strictly, go out and get drunk with your buddies. Go to a casino and lose some money! Or send the money to your friends and family back home, or donate to a charity.

Or go to the desert and scream out loud. Just let out some steam, and think about all the others who are still waiting for approval.

You will get your card in 2 days..

Where people get this stamp means not the place like USCIS but in which document? In this forum some say they got NP stamped,RTD stamped now you say I-94 ! I lost the I-94 that I received right after asylum grant. I never had to use that I-94 since never been out of United States since I got here 15 years back. Could you explain that to me please? Since I received my approval letter so if I make an infopass appointment & go to my local office & ask for this stamp thing they will do so ????

I would suggest waiting until Mid March or even end of march. You should remember that Feb had a long weekend also.

You can take your approval letter and get stamped if it is making you nervous but I believe you will get it very soon. You will get another email saying they have mailed you the card.

I forgot to mention, my wife didn't get any welcome notice. Never sent, or lost in mail, who knows or cares . I never got an email saying my card has been sent.. online it still says when a card is made it will be sent to me. So it is different in every case.

As for the stamp, you can get a new I-94 issued and get that stamped. Make an infopass appt if you can't wait, take all your paperwork and 2 photos. You can also get it on an RTD. If you have an expired NP, dont bother with that.

But I'd say just wait..

As for the stamp, you can get a new I-94 issued and get that stamped. Make an infopass appt if you can't wait, take all your paperwork and 2 photos. You can also get it on an RTD. If you have an expired NP, dont bother with that.

Good thing is per you & Want's post I can feel better knowing I don't have to be worried for the plastic at all since I already got the approval letter & it's only little over two weeks I got approved. I'll get my plastic soon. Now if in case I change my mind & want to travel some where than I may go & get NP stamped like Nasrmobin.
