Question for Raj

Hi Raj,
Today I picked up papers from a school for my friend in India.
I got one sealed packet ( to be presented to US embassy by student) and admission acceptance letter for student.
I was wondering if this is standard practise and what does
sealed packet contain. Is it just I-20 or there is more?
Also school has not entered student in SEVIS/ISEAS,
would it cause problems?
I tried getting all these answers from School advisor, but could not?
Any advice would be appreciated as Student would appear for
Visa interview next week and we are not very familiar with the student visa process
thanks and regards,

I'm sorry, I am not aware of recent practices in obtaining F visas. It is mandatory to be on the ISEAS database by Oct 11, 2002. Perhaps the package contains information that is used in lieu of the ISEAS entry? Best thing to do is to apply as usual and see what happens. Sorry I am unable to be of help.
