I have a Canadian residency, and am Indian citizen, I am planning to file 140CP in vermont for Montreal. I have my car, insurance still registered in canada eventhough I am working here, but I have no lease or any stuff there. Will there be any difficulty getting Police certficates and stuff ?
Anybody in the same situation. I read somewhere that some things are differently handled in Montreal CP, and the process is longer because NVC does something. Aslo is it true that a 140CP can be moved to 485 easily if required after 140CP is cleared ?
 Any bits are appreciated.

Thanks!!

All you have to show is that you would be able to travel to Canada in order to complete your CP. I think Canadian PR does enable you to go to Montréal. If NVC sees a problem with you traveling to Canada or eligibility to have interview @ Montréal, you might be asked to go to India. Consult your lawyer as you have to indicate the consulate for CP in I-140 (unless you want to go for AoS).
