mi2004,

In the earlier thread, why did you say that it is a mistake if you go for early FP? and why will it delay the case?

Please explain....

Experts on the forum, do you also think the same????????

Mugdha.

Well Mughda ... Its a great gamble ... I know atleast 3 of my friends who went early and their cases got delayed by about 4-6 months. May be coincidence but I just did not want to do that. I had got my FP notice in May 2003 for a date of July/2003. All of them had notice dates of May-July/2002 and they are till very much waiting. I am not exactly trying to say that I got approved because I went on the scheduled day but lets not mess around with an already pretty lousy and random system.

If your situation warrants to go for early FP, for example if you have plane tickets booked and are scheduled to travel to your home country before the scheduled FP day, or any other unavoidable situation, then you please go for early FP.

If there is nothing going on ... no pending late I-485 RFEs then its better to wait. If you have an RFE which has been replied then its better to wait for some time and go at the scheduled date.

Again, I am not a lawyer ... Do not take my word ... Its just how I see it .. All this may be crap with how the actual system works.

Thanks mi2004.

I guess, in that case, I have delayed my procedure. I thought, the processing will resume after they get my second FP. And thats what my message of 485 status says. Also, my LUD is now changed to 7/12/2004 i.e the date when they got my 2nd FP results.

I guessed, this might speed up my process...otherwise...they would not have looked my file till mid August as 3rd august is my scheduled FP date.

I do not know what conclusions I should draw from this......

God help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At this point there is nothing to do but to wait. If you got an RFE, you might be closer for approval than you thought.
In any case, good luck, and I hope your case will be approved soon!!

best,

Personally, I don't believe it will matter one way or the other -- but early FP might be slightly better !

Early FP might give you peace of mind -- its like you've done your share of work and now its upto the USCIS Gods to grace your app !!

I think since FP results are anyway electronically updated for your case, it should be better to get it done soon ... maybe that will place your case back onto the "Adjudication Ready" queue....

I really can't think of how anything negative might come out of doing the FP early ( if you manage to, that is !! )

I hope, that I will get RFE or approval soon. I am tired of waiting........
It took 3 years for my labor & now 2 years already for 485 stage........

Why god punish people who follows all the rules????????????

I am sick & tired.... feels like whole world is progressing....except me at the same point...still waiting for GC....still with same old company.....no ray of hope......it is really frustrating...........

Mugdha - Please dont loose hope... I also feel the same as you. I have followed all the rules and am still waiting but I have seen many others who have broken rules (unwittingly or wittingly) and have already recd their GC. I think God just wants to test the patience of some people.

BTW to answer your question.. I have heard of equal no of people who have got GC after doing 2ndFP early. some people are from this forum. I think GC approval has got nothing to do with procedure but everything to do with our stars !!!! So dont worry and just pray to God...to help get this over with.

Best of luck!
