Hi,
My I-485 was filed in March 2001 and I have received an RFE for 1. 3 paystubs, 2. W-2 for 2000 & 2001 and 3. Letter from company stating continued desire to sponsor my case. I have been with the sponsoring employer all along.

My question is 1. What are the ramifications of changing jobs after replying to the RFE and 2. After approval.

I have\'nt yet taken advantage of AC21. Is AC21 only for those who are > 180 days into the 485 process and not for approved cases?? Since INS is taking almost a year to process my case, can\'t I argue after GC approval, "If INS had processed my case in 180 days, I would have been free to change jobs by now?? So, I am taking advantage of AC21 after GC approval". Thanks very much for your pro bono service.

Since you are processing your AOS for almost a year, the approval should be coming soon. If I were in your position, I would think twice before changing a job now. But hey that\'s me! However, many people have been changing jobs by using AC21. Do not confuse that AC21 is applicable to changing jobs after you get your GC. You cannot argue in this regard since AC21 has nothing to do with a GC, it only talks about a situation while you are in the final stage of your GC.
