My friend applied lost his job on March 14 this year. He got another job on April 28. He applied for new H1 in April. He has now received an inquiry asking him to produce paystubs from Feb 14 through Apr 28. He does not have paystubs for 6 weeks. Is this going to cause a problem. Thanks.

No, most probably H1 will be issued without I94. your friend then can go to the nearest POE and get new I94 and continue working.

If I-797 is issued here without I-94...If a person having a valid visa stamp(old company),goes out of US and tries entering, will there be any problems at Port of Entry? Is this I-797 any different from regular one?

Please share any recent experiences.
