Hi Gurus. Today the status message has changed for my I-485 EB3 from India. It is saying:

!!On July 9, 2003, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made.


Since my RD is 10/15/02 , I dont think the above message means anything in regards to getting approval quickly since still ppl from 2001 are waiting.

But can the Gurus please advise if this message always changes after a while to the above one.

WOW... THat is good news.. atleast they have recorded the receipt of your finger-prints..

Questions for you:

1. Did you have your FP's taken on the machine or via the manual process?
2. When did you have your FP?

I had done it thru the machine and not manual. My FP date was Dec 5th 2002. I cant believe it took them 8 months to get the results back.

But I was wondering if ppl with FP date before mine also have receved this change in their case status message. Or is it still the other standard message.

I cant be that special that it only changed for my case !!!!:confused:
 
FP was done in Oct'02.

Message not changed.
(It did change from '450 to 480 days' to '580 to 610 days')

I had my FP done after yours. It was done manually. The message has not changed.

I get the same message too...

My RD is 10/09/2002. My FP was done sometime at the end of 10/02 !! I had called FBI early nov'02 after the FP and they had said that they got the fP on the day I was FP'ed (electronic) and had sent the results back to INS the day after. Hence I think they have just updated every status on July 9th.
 
BCIS are playing us a game, a game they know the rules and we don't know. However, they will let us win in the end.

we're at a stage where any news from bcis is good news, even if its rfe... my FP was done may 23, 2002, and the message for me has not changed. in fact my FP expires next month. bummer.

Nice to see you again and to share our ideas (concurrent thread I140& i1485).

this message is quite common and it will get updated for some people after INS receives the finger printing. I did my FP using machine and my status is still the same. I did my FP on Jan 10 03. My RD i Oct 3rd 2002.

My status is still the same ("We have mailed you notice....taking between 560 to 610 days.....")

Do not worry it is a good sign at least your case status is updated. We are like 1 year from current processing dates.......

Thanks Guys for the responses. It seems like nothing is consistent with NSC. Some people who have done FP before mine still dont have change in case status. Others do. So I guess I would just need to go to sleep for 1 year since my ND is 10/15/02.

I dont think they have have approved all of 10/15/01 cases as of yet. God only know when this long wait will finally end.

Hi M2002 . I ma not sure if would get approval in 1 more year. Because NSC is stuck at 8/22/01 for 1 yr. At this rate we may need to wait for 4-5 years before our time comes.................:o

it is sporadic, online update is

totally screwd up. Mine never got changed even after the second fp. dependent's fp notice sent message once (second time) , mine never, nothing neither sent nor received.

Hey Pork, did you do your second fp, yours is feb/mar rd, right?

to date, i have not received a second FP notice. i am wondering if i should call the new NCSC, just to see if i an stir things up a bit. my RD/ND are 2/2002.
 
Well, they don't have any standards in messages too.

"On July 15, 2003, your fingerprint fee was accepted as complete, and processing of your case has resumed."

I didn't pay any fee for second fingerprinting.
