Question for GC holders who did not have to interview

Does your timeline look anything like ours? I keep seeing LUD's, but no appointment letter. I'm hoping/assuming we will just get the GC approval in the mail.

Is your application based on marriage to USC or employment? Many employment-based petitions are approved without interview, but if it is through marriage, there is USUALLY an interview. I could not see from your post, which yours is.

My wifes application is based on Marriage.
I'll try to fit that into the sig, although space is limited

Thanks for the clarification. In AOS process, the vast majority of applications do have an interview, if based on marriage. This is not to be confused with removal of conditions(I751 petitions), where the interview is very often waived.

All the AOS based on I-130 require interviews.
If instead you came with a K visa (therefore you already had an interview at the Consulate) for fiancees and then you apply for AOS after you got married (within 90 days of youe entry), then you might be exempt, not necessarily though.

I've never heard of anyone applying for AOS (no K visa) and getting the GC without the interview.

I agree, the reason I said "the vast majority", was due to some K visa adjustment of status cases that are the exception. But it has to be noted that even most of these get interviews.
