Question for form I-215W

Hi All,

I have been watching this thread for sometime now to see what's going on with everyone else who is in the same boat as me. I also received I-215W and I submitted it thru an InfoPass appnt on Feb 7 2008. I asked the IO what was the next step. She said and I am quoting her "You should get the ceremony letter in 2-3 months". No letter yet, its been 3 weeks. Lisa & waitforsolong, pls post a message here when either of you get yr oath letter OR find out anyting else from the INS.

thanks

My case is actually green card, not citizenship...

Congratulations to all the people here got their greed cards after I-215W!

Just try to update my status after I-215W.

I went to USCIS local office today, again. This is my second time to visit there asking my status after submit my I-215W.

The line was not so bad. We (my husband went with me in order to help get more information smoothly.) quickly got to one IO window. After explaining our purpose of visiting, the IO checked her computer: pending, still under review! Please go back to wait for another month or so and inquiry.

I was very disappointed to hear that!

When I submit my I-215W two months ago, the IO said I need to wait for 60 days, or probably 30 days to hear the decision. One month later, after not hearing anything from USCIS, I went for an inquiry. That time, the IO told us that my case was on the supervisor's desk for final approval. The IO said, and I quote: "Don't worry. No concern is needed for your case. A lot of people are still in the dark because of their name check. You have already done your name check. You are in the exit now." My husband asked then: "Is it true that we can expect oath for March or April?" "Yes" he was very certain.

Now, one month later, after heard other people who are in the similar situation are getting their approval, I am still stuck on supervisor's desk.

My husband tried to get more information from the IO regarding my case. And all she kept saying was "I have no other information for you. Go back and wait. You can send us a letter if you want". My husband tried to get the information how to address the letter. But, she just kept saying same thing and asked us to move away.

I guess I got lost at that moment. I raised my voice a little bit under frustration. Then, her supervisor came to the desk. He quickly asked the situation and said he will address it and asked us to sit back and wait.

10 minutes (maybe longer, not remember very well), the supervisor called us. He said he called supervisor of N400 department. The supervisor will look at my case. We can go home to wait for the decision.

I keep my finger crossed here, waiting... (tears...)

help from the Senator

I am not sure if it was a coincidence but I got my I-215 form right after receiving a response from the senator's office to my request regarding my pending Name Check case.
So remember - you can always contact the senator - it won't hurt.

Good luck

My wait is over folks !
Received the Oath letter today for Apr 24, what a relief !
It will be exactly 2 years to the date when I appeared for the interview.
good luck to everyone else !
