QUESTION for EXPERTS: I485-N400 relationship

Question for Experts

I had my FP taken on 6/2 for N-400 application and after that I created online account on USCIS website. Today when I checked last update date on I485 applications which I had recd. 5 years back changed to 6/10!!!

Last update on n400 application still remains same?

Can some one please help me explain what could be happening???

Does this mean that the online status should have disappeared then? Or it happens after few days/months? Should I be expecting the interview date soon?
 
Does that also mean that they recd. all the info. that they wanted from FBI (name check etc.) I know they already recd. the fingerprint notification.

Congratulations!!! Your N-400 LUD will also change in couple of days and then you will be getting Interview Letter. It is all good news for you. Celebrate!

Thanks for your "Good Words" there but what I am concerned about is if the LUD changed on 6/10 for I-485, shouldn't LUD for N400 have changed by now? How long did it take for your LUD to change for N400 after your I-485 dates changed? Your answers are really appreciated.

Mine changed within 2 days of LUD chaning for I-485.

See that's what I was concerned about. May be it has to do something with District Office? Which District office do you fall under? Mine is Washington DC (VSC).

Hi 2bc,

Not trying to discourage you. But my I-485 case status has LUD of 7/15/2006 and I have not have my FP taken yet! I received my N-400 receipt notice on 7/21/2006.

System problem delayed my FP date to 7/28. My N-400 priority date is 6/13/2006.
 
Thanks for posting. It seems there online status means nothing as many of people have mentioned here on this forum.
 
Have you recd. your FP notice yet? Did you try calling them?

Hello 2bc,

Yes. I received my NOA and FP notice a few days ago after calling Customer Service Center three times and sending a fax to VSC. I had my FP taken this morning.

I came across this document. It's interesting to see (toward the end of the doc) how INS transport the files from NRC to Service Centers and to the DOs. I think the LUD of the I-485 cases mean that the files have been transported to the VSC.

Great finally you had your FP done. Did you mean to say that the file has been transported to DO?

Thanks for posting the link, although this does not give too much information to us about the name check etc. infact they did not talk about it in N400 process.

In any case it was nice to see the process flow and roadblocks that they have.
