guys i have an interview on sep 9th.i almost organized all the documents.
i had an joint sponsor who is my mother in law.

1)i have sent the photo copies of tax forms while applying for AOS.
my question is,is it mandatory to take the original tax forms of recent 3 yrs even though i sent the photo copies before?

2)What happens if i don't take the original tax returns forms of past 3 yrs?

You better make sure you bring original copies of all submitted documentation. You should bring the tax returns, original for that matter to the interview.

If you don't take the documentation, you risk creating a delay in the decision of your case. I am sure once you voluntarily leave the required documentation at home, and the IO asks you to mail them and will make a decision, you are going to come back to this board crying, "when am I am going to hear form USCIS on my case?" Just take all documentation and avoid delaying your case or decision.

Why did you create another thread?

my mother in law has misplaced her original tax returns so i had only photo copies
what should i do,my interview is tomorrow

Take the copies. Get your mother-in-law to call this number: 1-800-829-1040, IRS will mail her the original tax transcript within 14 business days, sometimes sooner. What is your DO? If the IO ask for original, just give him/her the copies and if he insist, indicate that you can mail them in as soon as you receive them from IRS. The cost of having IRS mail them to you is ZERO, plus your breath of life. Don't miss the interview because you miss this tax returns, just go dude and hope for the best that the IO will be satisfied with what was already submitted.
