Folks,
One of the items asked to be brought to the natz interview is "Certified copy of Childrens Birth Certificates"... does that imply the Original Birth Certificate? If not ,what is a certified copy and how/where does one get that from? Is that same as a notarized copy?

Thanks

Certified copy implies a copy of an original with a raised seal or stamp and signature attesting to its authenticity.

Thanks Bob. In the case of a birth certificate, where will i be able to get a certified copy from? The county/hospital of birth ? Or will a notary public be able to certify a copy of the same?

Thanks

Certified copies can be obtained from the county/city/village where the birth was registered. If you've contacted the place of birth and a birth certificate copy is not available, you'll have to get an affidavit from them attesting to that fact along with a notarized affidavit from the parents attesting to the relationship.
