Question about when to file to remove conditional status on GC

Just to tell you my situation really quick. Got married back in Dec 2009, but did not file for the GC until Fall of 2010. I know you are supposed to file to remove the conditional GC three months before your GC expire which for me would be in the fall of 2012. My question is, can you file for it sooner, since I would have already been married to my wife for more than two years after Jan 2012, so I don't have to wait another 7-8 months for it.

Answers greatly appreciated

If you file the I-751 sooner than 90 days (not 3 calendar months) before the expiration of the conditional card, the application will be rejected. You must file I-751 only within the time frame starting from 90 days before expiration until the expiration date itself. Earlier filing is allowed only if the marriage has been terminated due to death or divorce.
