question about unemployment insurance

Hi guys

My wife filed I-485 in 05/2002 as my dependent. She got laid off two month ago (she was on H1B before the layoff). Can she apply for unemployment insurance? If she can, will this have negative effect on our application for AOS?

If your wife has EAD she may apply for unemployment insurance.
