Question about Test

Hello,

I have my Interview on 11/01 and I would like to know what or where I go to get a copy of the test questions. I got a CD when I had my Fingerprinting on 11/14/06 but from what I have heard things have changed since then plus the USCIS Site has changed and I can't find it. Any help would be appreciated.

Here is some information on the new pilot test. Only certain district offices are testing this so depending on what your DO is, it might still be the old test. Then, the CD that you got is more than enough to get you through the civics test.

Q. What will USCIS pilot?

A. USCIS plans to pilot 142 U.S. history and government questions and approximately 36 reading and 36 writing items. The topic areas include principals of American democracy, system of government, rule of law, rights and responsibilities, American History, and geography. About half of the questions include rephrased versions of questions on the current test. All citizenship applicants in the 10 pilot areas who are scheduled for their naturalization test during the pilot will receive advance copies of the civics questions and the two lists of vocabulary for self-study.

USCIS has also posted these study materials on the web at: http://www.uscis.gov/natzpilot.

The actual test will become available to the public.

Just in case, here is the URL that points to the old test:

Good Luck! :)

Hi Sachin,
I note you are now doing infopass every 2 months and will probably do again in early September. I think the way name check goes, 68% get cleared in 48 hours of the NOA letter and another 20% or so within 60 days of NOA letter date. If these two dates are missed then it could be anyone's guess. So if one does not get name check clear then it is prudent to get ready with WOM paper work and building case by doing what you are doing like frequent infopass and documenting the meeting. I did my FP in July and got interview letter in August so I must have cleared in above 88% chance.

BTW, my case never dissapeared even after I received my interview letter. I don't think the on-line case system for N-400 process is very reliable.

Good luck with your case.

BTW, check this out - a name check delay flower campaign to FBI name check section head:

Congratz on the Interview letter. Has your case status disappeared from the USCIS online site?

No my Status never dissapeared.
I had a Infopass in January because they told me they couldn't see my address change on the computer so I drove 2 hours to have a 3 min Infopass.
Then I had a Baby and so much going on that I decided to stop checking the status 50 times a day and just let it go and if I wouldn't hear anything by the 1 Year Anniversary of my FP-ing then I would see what I could do.
So when I got the letter it knocked me off my feet to be quite honest and went online and sure. It still is the same. No changes, no dissapearance, nothing.
Looks like you and I have about the same timeline

Hey Brb2,

Yeah I am working on gathering information for the WOM but I am hoping it won't come to that. Also it looks like my N-400 time line is similar to Ladybuggy's. So hopefully I will get my interview letter pretty soon. This is a very frustrating process and I hope it gets completed within the next few months of 2007 :) I also sent a letter to Michael Cannon asking for help and another one to First lady Bush. Let's see which one goes the trick. I will keep you all posted.

Edit : I am not going to make any more infopass appointments. The Immigration Officer at the Seattle CIS was kind enough to give me an email address where I could email and get updated case status. Saves me the hassle of driving 20 miles and 5$ parking :D

Yes we have a similar timeline so hopefully my Interview letter will show up in the mail box soon :) congrats on the baby :)

Driving 20 Miles ... niiiiiice. Mine is over 130 away ... gotta love that. What made me mad with my last Infopass is that I have called them just to see if my Address was updated in their computers. I knew that they had recieved it because I got the return Mail reciept but putting it into the computer is another thing .. you know.
So she told me she can't see that. She can only see what I see when I log in to see my Case Status. I was silly enough to believe that.
So I went online, scheduled my Infopass. Drove over 2 hours out of my way, got lost, spend boookooo dollars on gas and had a newborn with me just for a 3 min Infopass where I was told yes it is in the computer and oh by the way you could of found that out by calling the 1-800 #, lol.

Oh well .. not again believe me !
