Question about switching jobs while on H1B

I'm currently on H1B visa (2nd time around with around 2 years left) and I got a better offer from another company, in another state. I'd like to accept the offer however, I have several concerns and was wondering if anybody could help me answer them.

1) How does the whole H1B transfer process work? Is any cooperation required from my current employer?

2) What happens to my green card process started by my current employer? I'm currently set to receive my LC in about 2 years. Am I going to lose any time by switching jobs? Will the new employer have to start the process from 0, or can they take over? Once again, is cooperation required from my current employer?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

You will not get any employment in INS, by knowing the process

Is any cooperation required from my current employer? NO. Provided you have all of their pay stub

Current employer's LC - all gone for good. You have to start fresh again.

Lol. Sometimes I feel like they make up rules just to confuse people even more. The whole process couldn't be more complicated.

However, I guess what I meant by that question is what happens during the switch? From what I understood the transfer can take up to a month. Does that mean I inform my current employer that I'm leaving then wait until new H1B comes in? Or do I wait until current transfer has been approved? Is the whole transfer consdired a big deal, or is it something that's done on a regular basis?

Once again, thanks for all your replies.
