Question about RFE. Please help

My ND is Nov/3/99, EB3 INDIA, PD current. I had received an RFE stating that immunization records not current for age-specific immunization. But my immi doctor says will need to give 3 shots and the third short will be given after 6 months from the second shot and will not give a completed immunization record(He is upsetting me big time, since I am sure no one waits for 6 months to get immunization). Is it ok to go to a different doctor and get all my medical done again, since no use working with my original doctor. Any and all help will be appreciated. Please reply ASAP.

If the RFE does not specify that you go to the same doctor as before, you can go to other INS doctor and get this done..
I think there wont be any problem going to some other doctor since what if this doctor whom you went to originally
died?;-) or went on a long vacation? YOu would then have to go to a different one.. Find somebody on this board
who already went to one in your area and go to them..

Hi metoo,
The notice says that the I693 has been sent back and to attach the suppliment form getting it from the same physician who did the exam. THat is the INS doctor did not attach the suppliment form, instead he stated in the main sheet that the vacinnations is not complete. From your point any INS certified doctor should be an acceptable one.

So as long as I do the complete medical again, it should be ok. Am I right?

If the RFE specifically says \'from the same physician\', then u probably should go to him only.. I do not know if you can go
to a new one and do the whole thing all over.. what does your lawyer say? may be you should have your lawyer talk to the
doctor.

or you might ask him to give form for the shots you had so far.. may be INS will assume that you will have your last shot
afterwards.. talk to your lawyer

Worryboy,

I think your Doctor is right and in fact any doctor you go to CANNOT give you immunization shots in sequence day after day. It is very harmful to your health and no doctor will take a chance as it is illegal. This doesn\'t mean that you have to delay your GC process. Get one shot and get a letter from that Doctor that the subsequent shots can only be prescribed and completed after 6 months and that you will take the shot then. Take the most current immunization records after taking the shot and submit all that evidence to INS as a response to your RFE. I think, INS will consider this. Also definitely talk to your lawyer and come with a good letter explaining the scenario from the lawyers side as well.

This should hold good and hope this helps.

Thanks meetoo and bhanu for your replies.

"Ditanus Diptheria"(spell check please) is the one he says they give it 3 times. THis normally is given when we are below five years in India. No INS doctor looks into this info and they leave it blank, stating is done. THis guy says that either get me the proof it is done or wait for 6 months to get a completed suppliment form. He scribbles in the main sheet that I am in the risk stage without immunisation complete, he is going to do this again even if he attaches the suppliment form(I saw the scribbling from the query).

I accept your notion that the INS doctor is correct. But why me!!!!!
when no one is asked for this record. May be because I got caught in the wrong hands.

I checked with my lawyer and she says no other go other than to get it from a different doctor altogether, and they can come up with a reason.

Anyway thanks for you replies. THink should try to get a letter for continuence of immunisation as you said.
