Question about Rentry permit

I have an entry permit upto 25th May. I entered around March. I need to leave again and want to apply for one now. Is it okay to apply for one before the other one is expired because i dont want to wait till May 25th since i know it takes time before another one is issued and taking care of the biometrics... Please advise.

Yes you can. You can either send in your current RP, or state that it is SET TO EXPIRE as they will process it once this will have expired anyway.

Thanks for the reply. After the 2nd reentry permit you cannot possibly get another one or how does it go?? anyone who knows??

You can apply, and depending on how how much time you've spent abroad, you will either be issued with a 2 or 1 year RP, or it will be denied.

“Part 4 – Purpose of trip”? for re-entry permit.

I am planning to apply re-entry permit for my mom this week. Since you guys have done this multiple times – can someone tell me following?

1. What should I write for “Part 4 – Purpose of trip”?
2. Also, how long usually it takes to get the bio-metrics appointment notice after application has mailed?

I would really appreciate the response. Thanks in advance.

What is the purpose of the trip? Write it down. Biometrics can take anywhere from 2-8 weeks to arrive.

Is there a way someone can expedite the processing time for rentry permit incase of an emergency? i sent my documents beginning of the month. They were received and signed for. I have not received any notice or biometric appointement. I am due to leave on the 31st and i have even booked for a flight. Taking into consideration the fees i have to pay for my flight change together with my child and i need to go and sit for an international exams which i had booked overseas the first week of June.. Is there a way i can just have them expedite my biometrics appointment and i leave?? The documents i can receive them later in the address. Please advise..

Thanks for the information. I did send an expedited envelope and also included like my flight itinerary and date of departure and i have not heard from them again. is there a way of contacting them on the already submitted application??

Make an Infopass appointment if you don't get the biometric notice by the end of Monday.

i just got my biometric appointment paper for tomorrow. Am glad i was thinking i will get 14days notice. This is because i had indicated to leave on the 31st. My only question is because of my daughter because it is not processed and we are supposed to leave togeher.. Any advise on what i can do so that we can leave together on the 31st May??
