Ive applied for the reentry permit, USCIS nebraska received it on Feb 26th, still havent received a receipt, is this normal?

Does anyone know how long it takes to receive a receipt and biometrics appointment?

Thank you!

Mine was received by USCIS nebraska on Feb 25th, But I haven't received receipt yet...

How long do i have to wait for biometrics app letter after NOA?

Hey guys just wondering how soon after receiving the NOA does the biometrics letter come, and how soon would the appt be?

Im outside the US right now but my mom is waiting for the biometrics letter and she will let me know when the app is..do you think i will have a hard time coming into the US for biometrics if i show my app letter and NOA?

Thanks

Expect the biometrics notice in another 1 to 3 weeks. The GC alone will get you back into the US, you won't need to show the biometrics notice at the port of entry.

However, if you already were outside the US on the receipt date (as shown on the NOA), and they realize that you were outside the US on that date, they'll deny the reentry permit.

What do you mean they will deny the application, i was physically present in the united states at time of filing, and proved to them with boarding passes from our airline, and a stamp from the US bank where we made out the money order to.

Do you mean for filing? we have a letter from his employer as well?

Also for biometrics the appt letter comes 1-3 weeks from when u received the NOA?

Thanks!

You mentioned being outside the US, so I was just saying *IF* you were outside the US when the reentry permit was filed (they normally consider filing date = receipt date), they'll deny the reentry permit if they know that you were outside the US on that date. But they won't refuse entry at the airport or border for that reason.

You said you were inside the US at that time, so you'll be fine.

Yes, that is the normal time frame.

pfewww you scared me...yes they received the application on feb 26th as we were inside the US at that time and then we had to leave the US march 1st...so that should be okay right?

as long as they received it and we were in the US?

What is the receipt date displayed on the NOA? Is it March 1st or before?

I'm asking because sometimes the receipt date is a few days after when Fedex/UPS or the postal service physically delivered the application to them. USCIS normally looks at the receipt date of the NOA, not the Fedex/mail delivery date. So if the NOA receipt date is March 2 or later, they may deny you and then you'll have to prove that it was physically delivered on Feb 26th.

hello,

I am dv lottery winner af000049***. My Boyfriend in the US played for me, but we are going to get married in my country soon and I believe my interview should be around june or july. Since he is not sponsoring me for a greencard, should I still report him on my application? he lives in the US and he is legal resident already.

You should ask your question in the Diversity Lottery area. If you are unable to find someone with the same question start a new thread in there.

Notice date is when they printed the notice. Don't pay attention to that. There should be a separate box that says "receipt date" or "received date".

Ok perfect! thank you it was received while we were still in the country! thank goodness...your a wonderful help!
