Question about priority date with FP/485 and approved I-140

Hi,

I have my I-140 approved, I-485 almost 11 months and I also received my FP notice. What will happen to my case? Will my case also move to some priority date? I remember I filled my LC some time in Jan-2003 and got approval in December-2003.

I have not yet heard from my lawyer but one of my friend has got a letter from his lawyer about his case date move.

Please suggest, do I need to talk to some one and wait for the letter?

------ you filed your LC in Jan 2003 and your PD is Jan 2003 your I-485 will be proceesed according to PD, you are eligible for EAD and AP till the time I-485 is approved or denied

Does that mean that even though I have to go for FP next month it is possible for to go for it again next year?

Now this is the time when all government employee will be busy in processing old stuff and as my EAD will expire in the month of May-2005. Do you suggest me to file the EAD extension now or wait for some more time?

I talked to one of my friend and he said that send the extension some time in February-2005 because if you send it early they will send you EAD extension with the date you submitted and not from the date when your current EAD expires.

----- yes it is possible Finger prints expire in 15 months if your I-485 is approved after 15 months they will send finger printing notice again

----- I will file the EAD renewal in Jan becase if any RFe and I can reply on time and be eligible to get iEAD if they take time

--- that is not correct I have seen EAD renewal sent 6 months advance of EAD expiry date and person got the new EAD with Starting date of the early EAD is expiry. for more info ask your"friend"
