Question about post-emegency-number call

I called the emergency number yesterday to check on the name check status for our applicaitons... yesterday evening the LUDS had changed to 03/30, however this morning the LUDS have changed for a second time to 03/31

My question is, has anyone else seen this behaviour, ie. calling the emergency number results in LUDs being updated to the same working day and then to the next working day?
 
Yes, it is true. My wife's is the same way too. My Primary 485 case was approved in Feb 2005. But secondary case for my wife is still pending. And all the inquiries response are 'Name check pending' and 'Additional security checks'. I received an e-mail from CSC-485@dhc... on 17th March that my wife's case is under additional security checks. And last LUD on her case is 18th March.

Usually it doesn't that's my observation. Hey! but you maybe lucky that it was for some purpose. Good Luck !!

BTW, What did they tell about your Namecheck status ? Just curious

It happened in my case too.

My RD is 08/11/2004. Since I haven't received my approval yet, I was so curious as others and called the emergency number on 03/29.

Customer service rep. told me that my application was still pending and my name check was still pending. (Initially, he appeared to be not aware of the process 'name check'). But, finally he said my name check is still pending.
Not sure whether this is a standard answer given to most of the people who call emergency number.

On 03/30, in the morning I noticed my LUD changed to 03/29 and in the evening on the same day, I noticed another LUD change, now it is 03/30.

Is it possible to get two LUDs for status enquiry?

Could it be because my name check was cleared ? I don't know whats happening with my case.

Mine is EB3, filed my labor in 2001.

Any Idea?

Sorry to hear that .. but as I said earlier in another thread that this is a real painful process eventhough your name might be unique. But anyway Good luck and lets see what comes next ?

WOW !!!

Another LUD today. I hope its for good.

After calling emergency # on 03/29, I have noticed three LUDs in my case.

My RD is 08/11/2004, CSC, EB3, India, PD-2001

03/29, 03/30, 04/01

Hopefully, my case will be approved soon without any issue.
 
The behaviour is kind of indeterminate.
I had called on 30th, the LUD changed to 30th and next day to 31st.

I called again on 1st, the LUD changed to 1st on 1st and remained at 1st.

On the first call, agent told me that my name check was pending, on the "second" call i was told that "something" was pending but not the name check... go figure ;-)
 
I called up emergency number on 4/1 and was told the same thing - name check pending and it might take time before approval. I was very disappointed and frustrated due to my situation.

I checked status around 10 am in the morning, it had LUD on 485, no change in 140.

About an hour later, I got emails that 140 was approved on 4/1. That was the only LUD on 140 after the RD notice.

It is very difficult to understand ways of working of USCIS. Never the less, it has put smiles back on my face.

Hi,

I replied I140 on MACH 16, 05 and am still waiting.
Anybody in the same situation.
By the way, the people on USCIS emergency line are adjustification officers or just operators?

It seems to me that ur name falls in pre cleared catagery :D :D

and also ur name is pre-screened whenever u travel from Int airports. :D

'Emergency' number for NSC Name Check enquiry

Oh wise ones, please tell me the phone number to call to enquire on my name check status at NSC. You've given me some hope on this long & frustrating journey.

Called about my case (NSC) ... Asked for my A# - then she took quite some time and asked for my receipt number .... then after 2 more mins, she said she couldn't get any info about it as it was NSC and she has only access to CSC.

Maybe I should try after a few days !?!

PS: I saw over in the TSC thread that some people got their info from this # .... not sure why my info is not available.
Oh well -- worth a try -- thanks for the number :)
