question about our plans after getting GC

I might ask the question in the wrong board yesterday, so I came here for help.

My wife and I got our green cards through my NIW application. Now I decide to leave US for a better business opportunity and may end up with giving up my GC, while my wife will stay and probably work in the US for the next five years or so. Will the action of my GC relinquishment invalidate her PR status? Will it cause some problems for her future citizenship application?

Thanks in advance if you could suggest where to find the answer

At this point, your wife's Permanent Resident status and her future case file status with USCIS will remain independent of whatever actions you choose to make.

In other words, you want to find out if your wife will have a problem with her green card or citizenship if you get divorced. No couple voluntarily separates for 5 years without ending up divorced (involuntary separations like military service or immigration delays are different).

Employment-based green cards given to spouses aren't conditional like family-based green cards obtained through marriage to a US citizen. Unless there are unusual circumstances that make the marriage look like it was a scheme just to get her a green card -- such as getting married very shortly before getting the card and divorcing shortly afterwards -- she should not have a problem.
