Question about number of days

Hello!
I am plannning to apply for N-400 on Oct 22/2008 (Signed)

I was counting number of days outside:

i counted from 9/22/2003 to 9/22/2008:
(because i was out for 5 months from 9/22/2003..., hence, hence couldn't count the start from 10/22/2003)

It turns out i was out for 922 days.

Considering that i am filing on Oct 22, will it be ok?

Should i prorate my trips from 10/22? or the officer will figure it out.

I am intending to put 922 and number of trips as recorded.

I reckon i need to be physically present for 914 days (913+1) for past 5 years.

How does it work?

I had N-470 and Re-entry permit during the absence period, i was
coming to US every 5 months (during those 922 days) and filing
taxes as resident.

Thanks for your response in advance.
regards.

If your N-470 was for working with the US government or military, the days you spent with them outside the US will be counted as physical presence in the US. But you still must list all the trips.

Should i prorate my trips from 10/22? or the officer will figure it out.
Prorate what? A trip is a trip, a day is a day. List them and count them exactly. Or is it that you don't know the exact dates?

Since you are almost at 914 days of actual physical presence, why not just wait a few more days to build that total before sending in the application?

well,
i am applying in Oct 22nd.
I am counting days from 9/22/03 to 9/22/08. Hence 922 days
If i apply 10/22 Oct it will be 922 - 30:
will be less than 892 days.

So i am in clear.

You're concerned about having to declare less travel days? You have to calculate the previous 5 years before you apply, so if you file 10/22/2008, 5 year period would be back to 10/22/2003, or 1827 days. At least half of this time must have been spent in the US.
