Question about Namecheck and LUDs

My interview is scheduled for Wed, August 22nd. My Fingerprinting was 6/27, and my last update date on my I-485 is 6/30. I read elsewhere in this forum that you usually get another update on your I-485 before your interview (which indicates that the namecheck is complete).

Of course, anxious person that I am, am worried that since my LUD on my I-485 is still 6/30, that my namecheck hasn't cleared. It is pretty consistent that the LUD on the I-485 changes when the namecheck is completed?

The whole "one LUD after fingerprint = namecheck cleared" theory is not proven as 100% accurate. Some people say that it takes 2 LUDs...

I only had 1 LUD after fingerprints and my name cleared... there is no way of knowing what USCIS does with a particular case.

So, my advice is relax and wait for the best. If you name check is indeed pending, then there is nothing you can do about it (before your interview that is).

So do not worry about the things you can not change. I am sure it will be fine :)
 
besides you may or may not get updates online atall.... if i were you i would not based my updates on what the online status says.. most of the time its accurate, but other times nothing is up there.....
so prepare for you interview and you should be fine.

True. The online status has been messed up for the past month. :rolleyes:
 
Thanks guys. I realize there's nothing I can do about the FBI namecheck, but you know how it goes - intellectually realizing this doesn't always result in being less anxious about it. It doesn't help that I tend to stress over things - my husband even took me out shopping today (and he absolutely hates it!).

Anyway, I'm grateful for the support. 2 more days I'll know.
 
Looks like I'm stuck in namecheck. I got impatient and made an Infopass appt to check on whether my namecheck has cleared. Well, they said that these days they are not supposed to make interview appts if namecheck has not cleared; and then, she checked my case and said, well, it looks like your case slipped through the cracks and they made an interview appt even though your namecheck is still pending.

My namecheck was initiated on June 15th, 2007. I sure hope it doesn't take years to resolve this. Any advice?

I am also from Memphis and stuck in FBI name check. My AOS interview just finished on end of July..
