Hi,
New member here. From the posts I have read so far this seems like a great forum with lots of helpful people.
I had my fingerprint appointment yesterday as I am applying for naturalization. Went smoothly except for a comment from the fingerprint officer about the format of my name. She had my drivers license and green card paper clipped to my application and when she was typing in my details she mentioned that my name was different between the two.
Basically my name on my DL is in the format of "JOHN MICHAEL SMITH" and on my green card it is "JOHN SMITH". I noticed she went to another screen on her monitor and entered my full name under the ALIAS section. She said something along the lines of make sure you tell them about this at the interview. I should have quizzed her more on this but they were rushed and trying to get through people quickly so I didn't but now wish I had.
Anyone have an opinion on whether this name format is going to cause me issues when I go for my interview? Is there anything I should be doing to make sure this is not an issue when the time comes?
Appreciate the help.
Thanks!
