hi! now I am filing N-400 by myself.I am bit confused:confused:
please someone give me any an advice.

1 Physical presence In the USA.

I've been legal resident in the USA past 14 years. ( married with US citizen)

I often travel to my native country to visit my family member which average 2 times a year ,
one trip I am staying about 1-2 month.
( never out of USA for more than 3 month in one trip or never out of USA
more than 6 month total a year)

now I was reading USCIS's site
about 5 years permanent Resident without leaving the USA for trips of month
or longer.

is my case OK??? is this mean total leaving should not more than 6 month or longer?

because if I calculate the total days for pat 14 years.

it will be way more than a year!!!!!!

2> do I need to get birth record again from my country for apply Citizenship ?
( I got it and gave to USCIS when I did apply GC )

if I need the birth record I have to get it when I go visit to my parent's.

3. for apply N-400.
is that all I need

1.N-400

2.copy of GC

3. 2 of passport style photo.

4.check

send to all of above by USPS priority mail (with return receipt )

am I missing something?

thank you very much for reading my post.:)

i think you are good to go..

no you dont need a birth record or anything from your country

go ahead and apply and join the waiting game :)

More than 6 months in one trip, or a total of more than 6 months in a single year might put you in trouble, but you haven't done that so don't worry about it.
