Question about N-400 application.

Hello,

I am filling out form N-400 for citizenship. I recently married my wife who is on F1 (student visa). On the N-400 form (Part 8, Page 5) question E asks "if your spouse is not a U.S. citizen, give the following information. In the Immigration Status text field I have chosen "Other". In the space provided next to the option "Other" I plan to write F1 (Student Visa).

Is there something else required that I should write in this? I have checked her passport and there is nothing like a "Visa #" or "A#". There is a Control Number on the visa. Should I write this control number? and what if the space provided is not enough. Should I then attach a separate sheet?

I'd love to hear from someone who filled citizenship application and had a spouse who was on student visa.

I am not in this category....but for the "other" under for part 8, question E...just say as you suggested F1 Visa (if it fits put visa number).

No need to do anything else..If you are not sure if she has A number...leave it blank. Forms say (if applicable)...

And I think they need her I-94 Arrival/departure number instead of visa number or something else. Check her passport and it should be white card with i-94 on the top of it.

Yeah. I see there is a I-94 card. That has a departure number. I dont see an Arrival Number anywhere though
