Question about marital status!

Hey there! I´m new to the boards...apologies if this has been discussed before!
My fiancee and I are both going to apply for the DV-2014 once it opens next month. We are getting married in April 2013, meaning that our current status is, of course, unmarried. I was reading through the Lottery guidelines and it says to list your current legal status and that any person not listed in your application that you want to add later will result in a disqualification. Should we just say we´re married in our application, since we will get married soon (probably not a good idea..) or is there a way to apply with an "unmarried" status and list your significant other as a fiancee? Or can the other person be added later, if we get the green card?
Any info is much appreciated!!

You and your fiancee should apply for DV-2014 as single. If one of you wins the lottery, you can simply inform KCC about your marriage and that your status has changed from single to married. Very simple. It is normal for people to apply as single, get married, and then tell KCC about it. But you must inform KCC about your marriage before interview, and you must show sufficient evidance that you were actually single at the time of lottery, and married later on.

Best wishes for DV-2014
