Question about "mailing address and residential address"

1. what's different from mailing address and residential address on the immigration forms?

2. Could the two addresses in different states, i.e. one is CA, the other one is NY?

3. Could the mailing address be PO box?

1) exactly what it says; one is where you recieve mail, the other where you reside (most people have one address for both.)
2) Yes.
3) Yes.
