Question about Immigration court proceedings.

My case moved to IC for both asylum hearing and renew AOS, that has been denied by USCIS.
My attorney submitted brief timely about my AOS but government counselor failed to respond.
Wat will happen now?
Anybody had this kind of experience? please
 
If IJ keeps rescheduling hearing first 3 months then 1 year forward for no good reason, anything can be done at all?
