question about I-864

1. Is the "regular" sponsor (non US Armed Forces) subject to the 125% poverty line?
2. We have a household of 3 and I am trying to figure out what is the minimum income requirement from the poverty guidlines for the year 2005 that i have to write on form I-864 part 4/D /#3- It should be, for MA, $20,112, but just wanted to make sure I have the correct #?

Yes. 125% if not in US Armed forces.

If sponsor is on active duty in the US Armed forces: $16,090
Else: $20,112

The 100% just if you are in active duty. If you are National Guard or Reserve and right now you are on deployment is consider active duty, but is not then you are subject to the 125%.

Thank you very much. We thought so, but we were not sure and did not want to make mistakes on the I-864 form.
