Aren't derivative asylees "entitled" for a free EAD card valid for 2 years or is it only for Asylees? I just received a rejection letter that cited failure to submit application fees as the reason for it.

Could someone enlighten me on this?

yes you are entitled to a free EAD. Did you put down A05 as the cagetory on the form?

Yes I have A-05 as the category. I'm really confused. I'm going to refill the application form and resubmit it today.

By the way, what reason should I cite as far as the main reason is concerned.

There are three options.
1. Permission to accept employment
2. Replacement ( of lost EAD )
3. Renewal of my permission to accept employment ( attach previous documents )

Please note that I already have an EAD card based on economic hardship ( F-1 status ) that expires in August.
