Question about helping my mother

I'm working on my citizenship at the moment, hopefully I'll be a citizen by the end of the year.

Does anybody know about how long after I become a citizen my mother would be able to come to visit me in the US.
She lives in Venezuela at the moment and hasn't been able to come to visit me since I came here in 1994.

Your being a citizen doesn't really change anything for getting a visitor visa for your mom. But, you can sponsor your mom's green card. And, you can send I-130 the day you become a citizen. That's if she wants to. Or, if she can get a visitor visa, you can file the paperwork in about 2-3 months after she comes to US.

If I apply for her to get a green card, about how long will it take before she can come to the US (I live in KC)

That depends on the load of the Consulate in Venezuela, but in general there is an average around 6 to 8 months probably a little bit more.

She can come in a visitor visa but she will have to proof a strong attachment, and recently is very hard to get visitor visas from Venezuela with the situation in the country right now.
