In September 2000 while living in Dallas/Texas I applied for my greencard, filled out all the required forms and paid all required fees.
In the meantime I moved from Texas in September 2002 and moved again to Virginia in December 2003. I notivied the DHS of my moves and new addresses.
In April 2002 and again in July 2003 I renewed my work permits and also checked the status of my greencard. In both cases they told me it wasn't ready yet.
Recently I went in to the local DHS office to inquire about the status of my greencard. They told me that in February 2002 Texas send me an appointment for an interview and since I didn't show up the closed my file.
First of all I never received the notice and in April 2002 when I renewed my work permit and checked the status of the greencard they never mentioned that my file had been closed due to noshow. As well as never mentioning the same in July 2003.
Now I'm told I have to refile repay all the fees which includes another Doctors visit.
Does anybody has any advice on how to persue this matter without having to repay again which I feel is an injustice.
Regards
Jurgen
