Question about changed address

my asylum is granted in LA, then i moved to Seattle. I did not notify INS about my address changed at that time. One year later, When i filed my I-485, i used my seattle address. My question is will the I-485 letter go to my old address in LA or Seattle?
my I-485 receipt address is my current address in seattle. do i need to fill out any application to tell the INS about this address changed? (its been 3 years since i moved from LA)

i think they made it a law that the INS should be notified through filling a form about your change of address.

take ur own risks first of all..

then, what i'm goin to say is that I dont think BCIS takes those stuff that seriously..at least they just sent me the receipt without being noticed beforehands...

Hi, now that this subject is brought up, I start tinking may be because of my moving from one state to another caused my notice of action to get lost. I was in the same situation
I was granted in August 98. I moved in June 99, I filed I-485 with the new address but never received notice of action from Nebraska center. I think I should have included AR11 address change form (i think that's what is called) .

i will call them tomorrow and ask their opinions!
and i will send them AR-11 ASAP
 
two things

The AR11 goes to a centralized location indicated on the form, not the NSC.

Until you become a citizen, always comply with the AR11 requirements to avoid future legal problems.

And then if you have applications pending with any BCIS offices, send those offices a letter too (you can use another AR11 for this purpose).

So actually there are two seperate things to be done when you move.

but i moved in WA state from LA in 2000, its been 3 years, do u think i still can notify them? is it too late?
