Question about BC

Hello,

Need this information urgently, if I get a birth certificate today and the BC says that the registration date is today\'s date. wIll it suffice the purpose of CP? If not, what do I need? Will non availability (My/Wife birth was not registered on time) certificate be OK with two affidevits from parenmts/uncles?

Late registration is possible according Indian birth and death act.
I got my birth registered before CP interview and had no problems at the chennai consulate.

Non-availability certificate with two affidavits from elders will substitute for BC. Take a School leaving certificate too just in case they may ask for it.
