question about AR-11

Hi, folks,

I have some questions on AR-11 form (a form to change address):

I'm working in USA as postdoctoral associate, and my I-485 is pending. I also have H1B status, and my wife is H4.

The first line of the form asks: I am in the united states as a) visitor, b) student, c) permanent resident, d) other (specify). Which one should I or my wife choose? If we choose "other", how do we specify?

The second line ask "A" number (copy number from Alien card). We have "A" number from the I-485 applications, should we fill in the numbers?

For Question 1
You can use H1B for you and H4 for your wife.

For Question 2
The "A" number given in I-485 receipt notice is the Alien number, you have to mention in AR-11 form.

Suggestion.
Send this AR-11 by certified post by USPS and keep the receipt for your
reference in a safe place.
