Question About an Interview Result

I had my interview done on the 7th. At the end of the interview, the officer verbally said I passed and that I should be expecting my oath letter in a month, and that oath will be at the federal courhouse. However, on the n-652 form he put an X mark on B) "A decision cannot yet be made about your application."

I asked him if my name check is done, he said yes.

Should I be concerned that he didn't put a check mark on A) "congratulations!... your application's been approved..etc...etc" ?

Any input is appreciated.

My only guess is perhaps there is something in your application that he/she needs to run by his/her supervisor. As far as I know, every N-400 application is adjudicated by two officers. The first being the interviewing officer and a second one who gives the "final'" approval.
Good luck and keep us posted.

That X is unpridictable. I have seen individuals who waited for one to three months and got their final approval; others it is pending for more than two years; still waiting. So it will large depend on how complex your case is...good luck...

After doing much of the research on Cleveland DO in this forum, I noticed that most/if not all of people interviewing in Cleveland got that option B (no decision can be made) checked. This might be a local DO policy.

If I am wrong, please post comments.
