Query related to H1 remainder v/s transfer

Hi,

I have a valid H1 from current company A and I am currently in India (returned six months back).If now I apply for H1 from another company B for the "remainder" period which will not be under the cap (i.e. not the 2007 quota) and while it is in process I travel to US from company A.

Now once in US if I want to join company B,should I apply again for H1 transfer or rather wait till the "remainder" petition for company B is approved?

If the latter part of the above question is true,how will I inform USCIS that I will be working for company B? I not fully aware of what COS is,but will it help in this case?

While you are in India, if apply H1 for company B, it is going to be a new h1 which will not come under quota.

Unless you have your H1 (for Comp B) stamped in your pp you can not work for comp B. If you come with comp A , H1 you have to do h1 transfer to comp B. The previously approved H1 from comp B will be no use.

Thanks for the info.

Will there be an issue with the H1 transfer since the H1 petition filed while in India and the H1 transfer while in US will be for same company B?

Also,while in India,lets say I apply for company B H1 for the "remainder" and then resign from company A (i.e before the approval comes).Will there be any issue in this case related to the company B processing if company A tries to revoke my existing petition?

Lastly,lets say I remain in India till company B H1 approval comes through.When I go for stamping will they cancel visa issued for company A?
