Hi,
I would very soon be applying for a F-1 visa in order to pursue my MBA in the US. I was a bachelor when I had applied to the university (and that is why on my I-20 my spouse details are not mentioned) but I have recently got married. Since my wife is working here in India and is well placed, I do not intend to take her along as a dependent. Instead, there is a high probability that she might join me in US through her own work permit (sponsored by her company). Now for the purpose of my student visa interview -
Should I clearly tell the above? Would it hamper my chances of getting a F-1?
OR
Should I simply say that i do not plan to bring my wife alongwith me as a dependent but instead we would be maintaing a distant relationship for the duration of my studies and this is so because she is already very well placed in India.
Any advise would be highly appreciated!!
Thanks!
