Please help: Query regarding EAD

Hi,

Need your help and advice.
My EAD is valid till Feb 2005 and my H-1B is valid till Dec 2005.

I have not used my EAD I am still working on H-1B.

As my H-1B is valid till Dec 2005, I would like to apply for EAD six months before H-1B expires. (i.e some time in July 2005). But as you can see my EAD would have expired by then.

My question is can the EAD be extended after it has expired for over five or six months?

Any help would be appreciated.

EAD and H1B are not related!

you can apply for EAD if you have applied for I-485 and the decision for GC is not made.

Also, you can let your current EAD to expire and later apply after some time. It doesnot really matter.
 
EAD Renewal or applying for a new one we follow the same procedure. Ofcourse you got to submit the old one if you had one.
