Query regarding 485 Processing for spouse

Hi All,
I got married after 6 months of filing 485 (at NSC thro' my employer). My spouse's 485 been filed few months back in July.

I've a query regarding how both the applications going to be processed?
- At local Chicago center or NSC?
- Will me and my spouse both get the GC approved together or it will go by the date only?

Thanks in advance.

My ND is 09/2002.
Spouse ND is 07/2003.

I have heard of many that take a trip to Vegas to tie the knot. I have only now come across someone who got married at NSC through his/her employer. :D

Seriously though, you can expect to be transferred to Chicago, if that is where your address falls under. The transfer usually happens when your RD is picked up by NSC for processing. If transferred, you and your spouse can expect to be approved together.

Good-luck; The next time around, try cheap and cheerful Niagara.

ha!

Thanks. We can't control the transfer, correct?
If in case, it's still at NSC, then what? our 485 applications will not be processed together?

Not very funny, huh?

I do not believe even Mr. Aguirre can control NSC, much less you being able to control the transfer of your applications at NSC.

In the event that it does not get transferred, your spouse's approval will likely come through when your application is processed. In essence, it is your RD that will guide the process. However, dont be surprised if your application is approved and your spouse's is transferred or is delayed.

Sankrityayan -- that was funny. I laughed for quite sometime.

kddesai98 -- nothing against you. When I first read the note, even I did not realize the wording until I read it again after reading Sankrit's note :) :):)

On the topic --- yes, based on what I have read on this forum so far, you and your spouse have a very good chance of being transferred.
