Hi ,

I had applied for a F1 visa for US in 2002,2003 and was rejected thrice. My query is that when i had applied for F1 Visa , i had put up the work experience(during 1999 to 2002) which i dont remember now.So when i go for a H1 visa now , will they crosscheck the work experience mentioned earlier. If yes, is there any other alternative?

Thanks,
Sravan

You can take your experience letters for years you mentioned you have worked. If you have really worked for that company getting letter should not be a problem.
I am not sure if they will cross check, but they will surely have everything on there record. So do not take any chances and don't lie about anything.

Hi

Hi GC_lover ,

Thanks for the reply.

I hadnt really worked for any company during the duration 1999 to 2002.Actually there was a slump in the IT so i could not get any job then.I had shown this duration to be working as there was a gap between the Academic completion(1999) and F1 Visa Application year(2002).

Will the consulate people check for the exact duration of employment, company and the relevant data if i go for a H1 visa now.

Kindly suggest me how to overcome this problem.

Thanks,
Sravan

There is no guarantee if they will check or not, it's all upto them. But if they find out that you have lied than they can never give you a visa.
If I were you, I would not show any experience if I have not worked. If they check your previous record for F1 just tell them it was not full-time job, just an internship or something. You can take a legal advice on this before you go for interview.

Hi

Hi GC_Lover,

I got an alternative thought related to the experience. Can i convey the consulate people that the name of the companies which i claimed worked earlier are renamed. Is that going to help me out...

Thanks,

Sravan

I think the real qeustion here is do they keep DS157, 158 from your previous visa interviews on file.

in any event, I think for H1b visa interview, you have to put the names of your most recent two employers (all the past employers are not required to be put in there unless they ask for this) not including your current employer.

my suggestion would be to not lie.

suggestions based on my limited experience and not legal advice. consult an attorney to be sure.
