Query on H4

Thought this would be the right forum.

I am faced with the below situation and would highly appreciate your help in clarifying my queries.

My wife's employer has applied to H1B visa for her and she has applied for H4 dependent VISA for me thru her employer. The petitions have passed thru and we have scheduled an interview with the chennai consulate.

As I am working and have applied for H4, my wife's employer has requested a relieving letter or a leave letter for a minimum duration of atleast 3 months starting before the VISA interview date.

I checked on the consulate website for any such documents to be produced and do not find any information on that. Can anyone throw some light in this pls?
Pls share your experience on getting H4 for working dependent.

----------------How She can apply H4 Visa for you through HER employer. I think your wife is not in US at this time. if US employer filed H1 for your wife with USCIS and H1 for her is approved then you as spouse can get H4 visa stamp from US consulate when she goes for her H1 Visa stamp

-----------------US employer is trying to Delay the H1 stamp and he may not have job for her in US. No letter is needed as requested by her employer

Pls share your experience on getting H4 for working dependent.
------------ when your wife goes for H1 visa stamping you can get H4 visa stamp with her from consulate
