Query applying F1 student visa

Hello,

I am applying for Work study program (F1-USA). My concern is i have been to UK around 2008 and i returned India in 2011 .My UK student visa was expired in 2009 but before visa expires i have applied for visa extension,but my visa was denied. Unfortunately i overstayed my student visa for 1 year 2 months .

My main concern is UK visa overstay will cause any trouble to me when i apply to USA. I am really scared of my previous country overstay .

Please suggest, I am really looking for some valuable suggestions.

If you had temporary permission to stay in UK with student visa, you should remember the expiry date of
it. But, unfortunately you forgot to extend and that is why you are in trouble. Now you have only option to
consult with an immigration officer and/or specific visa laws, they may vary.
 
Overstay in any country is illegal You would have made a Adjust of Status. But, when it come to US Visa Application process, It may affect it. You must speak to an immigration office.
