Query about F1 status

Hi ,
I am on F1 visa right now.I am going to Kaplan for a Gmat course to keep my status.My I20 is valid till august and the course I am taking ends in may.I got an admission for fall in a univ ..so from may to august i have nothing to do ...will that make me out of status??? Since F1 students need not register in courses for summer can I wait until fall2007 and do nothing or should do something to keep my status active???

I will be really glad if some one could help me in this regard

within 60 days of the GMAT program completion get a new I-20 from the new school, and then you have to start school in the first available semester within 5 months. Time it right, and you will spend your summer in the US in F-1 status.
