Query about F-1 Visa?

Hi,
I am lucky that I have found this forum just before my interview for F1 visa.
Please give me some Tips about the Interview and familirize me with the frequently asked questions from the Visa officer.

I am from Pakistan and got admitted in UIUC in the program of MS.

My sponsor is my father and he has the bank statement above the amount written on the I-20. He was doing job in Bank. But he is retired now. So will it effect on getting the visa?

Please help .

If your bank statement is genuine and meet the requirement, financial part is OK.
F1 visa issuance is purely depends on counsellor who interviews you. You have to prove in all occasions that you are going to come back to Pakistan and serve for the country!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. (ofcourse you are not)
 
Financial requirements for F-1 Visa

My brother is in India and going to apply for student visa. I have h eard from friends that they require huge financial base and not just bank statment for studnet visa. is that true, because if thats the case no middle class person can come to US for higher studies.

Hi! I arrived in the US on a B1 visa and I've decided to go to school here. My lawyer says I can apply for F1 visa here 60 days after my arrival date. My questions are :

1) If I apply for F1 visa here in the US, am I scheduled for an interview? Where will it be?

2) How long will the processing time take?
