Prevailing Wage Determination

I have M.S. (Computer Science) + 5 years experience. I need some help determining the wage requirement for filing my case in EB-2 category. I am in orange county, California and my job description is Software Engineer.

I checked some websites and came across the following

Area Code: 5945
OES/SOC Code: 15-1031
OES/SOC Title: Computer software engineers, applications
Level 1 Wage: $17.58 hour - $36,566 year
Level 2 Wage: $27.90 hour - $58,032 year
Level 3 Wage: $38.21 hour - $79,477 year
Level 4 Wage: $48.53 hour - $100,942 year

My current salary is between Level 2 and Level 3. Does it pose hurdle filing for filing in EB-2? What is the "Level X Wage" requirement for filing in EB-2?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You have already been qualified for the EB2 based on your educational level unless your LC job does not require MS or BS + 5 yrs exp. The Salary itself has nothing to do with your EB2 or EB3. It will depend on your LC job requirements.

I heard that it depends on PWD from SWA. But level3 and above will be safe.

It looks like you should ask for the raise :) BS+5 or MS+5 must get level 3 and above salary (not include bonus)

Should I get the salary right now or at the time I get the green card.

Now is safer. Easier to prove. But by the time you get green card is fine, but hard to prove unless your employer is a big one.
