Property purchased during green card. Sale after citizenship

Hi

I appreciate all input and any direction regarding my current situation.

I purchased a property (non-farm land) when we had permanent residency. I recently took citizenship oath along with name change. I am currently visiting India under multiple entry evisa. I plan to sell the property and possibly purchase another non-farm land.

I am seeking advise regarding any potential legal/taxation issues.

You need to report sales of property with Indian taxing authorities & report same transaction with here in US (IRS) & of course you can take income tax credit in US for taxes paid in India
